Position Information: The Well-being Liaison is a member of the Health Well, Being and Safety's Holistic Health Operations within the Mental Health Initiatives Cluster of departments and works directly for the Student Well-being, Intervention, and Follow-up Team (SWIFT) Department. Under the general direction of the SWIFT Director, the Wellbeing Liaison role provides support to distressed students and students experiencing situations that may disrupt educational, social/relational, and residential facets of university life. The SWIFT team provides comprehensive and confidential mobile mental health crisis services provided by licensed clinicians to support the health and wellness needs of our highly diverse student body. The Wellbeing Liaison serves as a versatile SWIFT team member who supports students as a non-clinician through mobile crisis co-response, student wellness activities/support, accompaniments to higher levels of care, and as an advocate and resource to students in distress.
The full salary range for the SWIFT Well-being Liaison is $24.71 - $41.67 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $35.44 per hour. We base salary offers on various considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Educational Requirements - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

- Master's degree in behavioral health discipline and/or related discipline.

- Will be required to complete identified paraprofessional counseling certificate (Lay Counselor Academy) within first six months of employment.

Special - Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, if driving a university/personal vehicle for university related business.

Key Responsibilities DescriptionPercent Time - Under the guidance of higher level specialists resolves non-complex individual cases regarding student affairs or student life.
Serves as first contact to SWIFT crisis line and serves as a 'dispatcher' to support connecting callers to receive clinical interventions.
Supports SWIFT operations by supporting implementation of clinical interventions by licensed clinicians.

- Provides basic support services for a student program(s) and/or provides basic academic support services for a residential complex, which may include working in the following areas: a tutoring program, an on-site computer facility, a course/learning skills program, and a faculty involvement program.
