Job Description

Our client, a well-established electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in Evansville, IN . This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to play a key role in delivering accurate and competitive estimates across a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
  
• Accurately calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs using project plans, specifications, and proposals.
  
• Review project documents to determine material and labor requirements and generate detailed itemized take-offs.
  
• Draft and send RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  
• Use estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic or Anywhere) to perform precise cost calculations.
  
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to define indirect costs and overheads.
  
• Support additional tasks and responsibilities aligned with company goals.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent trade experience accepted.
  
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating within the electrical contracting industry.
  
• Strong understanding of electrical sub-trades and scopes of work.
  
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs with confidence.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with Accubid Estimating Software is highly desirable.
  
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Comfortable working with various stakeholders including internal teams, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
