Job Overview:

As a A/V Design Specialist Integrator at S3, you will be responsible for designing and implementing audiovisual systems for a variety of environments, including corporate, educational, and entertainment spaces. This role involves creating and integrating multimedia content and systems, such as audio, video, digital signage, LED walls, interactive displays tailored to client needs. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and technicians to deliver customized solutions that ensure optimal performance, functionality, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AV systems for commercial and educational environments based on client needs and industry standards.
  • Create detailed AV scopes, equipment lists, and basic schematics to support proposals and installations.
  • Provide direction and technical support to field technicians to ensure systems are installed to specification.
  • Conduct end-user training and provide documentation to ensure clients and staff understand AV system operation.
  • Lead or assist with recorded video and audio projects as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams to ensure project success and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Ability to manage and support AV and low-voltage projects from concept through installation.
  • Assist with installation tasks including structured cabling, wiring, equipment setup (e.g., displays, speakers, racks, Wi-Fi), and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to remote or on-site service calls to resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and recommend technology solutions that meet client needs.
  • Stay current with AV trends, technologies, and certifications to improve performance and offerings.
  • Adhere to job site safety, cleanliness, and professionalism expectations.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurability.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams during customer walkthroughs to assess audiovisual needs and ensure design solutions align with space functionality and user experience.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for digital signage platforms, ensuring reliable performance and timely updates or troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Technical training programs in AV, electronics, or low-voltage systems preferred
  • Experience with Video Streaming, Dante Systems, Extron, Crestron, or Q-SYS certifications or other relevant manufacturer certifications
  • Network+ or basic IT certifications
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)- Preferred
  • CAE (Certified Audio Engineer)- Preferred
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification – Preferred
